Biology

Our goal is to prepare your child for the AP classes that they will have to take during high school. Instead of starting it all at 9th grade (which is a burden to them), we are beginning it from 7th grade in order to develop their knowledge and ease their load, so that they are ready for the APs. We have designed our curriculum based on the AP syllabus.

7th grade

In 7th grade biology, students will learn how plants synthesize food, how they reproduce and what makes them different from animals. They will understand the basic concept of weather and climate, how water is a vital solvent, and how soil helps with growth on the earth. When it comes to talking about animals, the syllabus explains how food is obtained in animals, how substances are transported across the body, how waste substances are taken out of the body, how animals move and maintain their body structure, and how animals respire.

8th grade

In 8th grade biology it is crucial for students to think deeply and pay attention to even the smallest of things. One of the chapters include microbes and their effect. It is important to learn about the building blocks of life because without them life wouldn't exist. The chapter called Cells explains and elaborates on this. And since many cells make up tissues, a chapter on tissues is included.

9th grade

In 9th Biology, students will be taught more deep in to cells and their structure, Tissues of plant & animal, living organism and diversity in living organisms, Natural resources like water & air, Improvement in food resources, Life Processes, reproduce in organisms, control and coordination, forest and their conservation, etc.
