Physics
Our goal is to prepare your child for the AP classes that they will have to take during high school. Instead of starting it all at 9th grade (which is a burden to them), we are beginning it from 7th grade in order to develop their knowledge and ease their load, so that they are ready for the APs. We have designed our curriculum based on the AP syllabus.
7th grade
In 7th Grade Physics, it is taught about Motion and Time, Electric Current and its uses & effects, Light and its properties. It will be explained in details about wind storms and cyclones. Importance of Water & its resources, Management of waste water, sanitation and diseases, etc.
8th grade
In 8th Grade Physics, students will be introduced to basics of Force, Pressure, Motion & Friction. They will be taught sound and Light, noise pollution and its harms. They will also study about Lightning, earthquakes, solar system and stars.
9th grade
In 9th Grade Physics, students will study about precision measurement of length, volume, density, time, etc. They will be taught about distance, time, speed & acceleration. They will learn the relation between speed & acceleration. They will be learning force & motion; mass & weight; force, mass & acceleration, Idea of Momentum, more about vectors & scalar quantities. Deeper study of Force, Matter, Moment, Power, Energy, Work and related articles.
